La formación, organizada por la Fundación Gabo con el apoyo de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), reunió en Cartagena, Colombia, a periodistas de América Latina y el Caribe para fortalecer estrategias innovadoras de verificación, análisis de narrativas engañosas y uso responsable de inteligencia artificial frente a la desinformación.
The training, organized by Fundación Gabo with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), brought together journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean in Cartagena, Colombia, to strengthen innovative strategies for fact-checking, analyzing misleading narratives, and responsibly using artificial intelligence to combat disinformation.
The organization will receive USD 30,000 through the SUSTAIN 2026 program to develop a new audience-based revenue model. Factchequeado aims to strengthen its relationship with readers and ensure the continuity of Spanish-language fact-checking for Latino communities in the United States.
