From Washington, Javier Negre, a 41-year-old native of Málaga, Spain, hosts The Right News Show, a Spanish-language program that spreads disinformation about U.S. and Latin American politics every day. The show is part of the Spanish-language lineup of Real America's Voice (RAV), a network whose programming also airs on Truth+, Trump Media's streaming TV platform.
But this story doesn't begin in Washington. It starts in Spain, passes through Argentina, and extends to eight other Latin American countries before reaching the United States, where Negre has connected with, among others, Alex Bruesewitz and Danielle Alvarez, advisers to Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
From Spain to Washington, via Latin America, with public money
Negre began his media expansion in 2020. In Spain, he founded Fack News Consulting, later renamed EDA TV Consulting, the production company behind Estado de Alarma TV (EDA TV).
Estado de Alarma TV's content ended up in court. In March 2021, a Madrid court ordered Negre and Fack News Consulting to publish a correction of the disinformation they had spread about the income of Rubén Sánchez, secretary general of FACUA, a Spanish consumer advocacy organization. In the correction video, the company admits that its program had included "a series of falsehoods and inaccuracies."
Negre's legal troubles date back to his time at the Spanish newspaper El Mundo. In November 2019, according to an El País investigation, a court ordered Negre and the newspaper to pay 30,000 euros (about $33,500 at that year's exchange rate) for violating the privacy, reputation and image rights of the surviving former partner of convicted murderer Sergio Morate, about whom Negre had written for the paper. According to the ruling cited by El País, Negre "bordered on coercion" in his dealings with the victim. In 2020, he was fired from El Mundo for "unfair competition" after creating his own YouTube channel, Estado de Alarma.
He then added other outlets, including La Derecha Diario in Argentina and UHN Plus in the United States. In the case of the Argentine outlet, he bought a 50% stake from Fernando Cerimedo, a former adviser to Argentine President Javier Milei, who was arrested in Bolivia in August 2026 in connection with allegations of illicit enrichment and the attempted femicide of Nadia Beller, with whom he was believed to be romantically involved.
Cerimedo, in turn, partnered with Brad Parscale, Trump's former campaign manager, in the consulting firm Numen, which advised campaigns in Bolivia and Honduras in 2025, as reported by The New York Times. La Derecha Diario announced in March 2025 that Cerimedo would represent Campaign Nucleus and EyesOver in Latin America, platforms linked to Parscale that, according to that announcement and the companies' websites, use artificial intelligence to segment voters and personalize political messages.
The expansion also left a trail of public money in at least two countries. In Argentina, an investigation by Chequeado, a co-founder of Factchequeado, found that the company behind La Derecha Diario (Madero Media Group) received at least 32 million Argentine pesos in public funds between 2024 and 2026 (nearly $30,000). The money came from the governments of Córdoba, Tucumán, the City of Buenos Aires, and the municipality of Rosario.
In Spain, the outlet El Salto documented that EDA TV received at least 680,000 euros (about $770,000) in government advertising contracts from administrations led by the Popular Party (PP).
Today, La Derecha Diario, known for spreading disinformation, is the outlet with the widest geographic reach in Negre's media network. It operates 11 national editions, in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Israel, Mexico, Spain, the United States, and Uruguay, which in many cases republish the same content and take similar editorial positions.
An analysis by La Silla Vacía of 186,635 posts on La Derecha Diario’s website and its X and Instagram between January 1, 2025, and August 15, 2026, shows that the United States and Argentina account for 57% of the network's output, and that Argentina functions as its main regional hub, appearing in 85% of the 2,644 identical messages shared across different editions. Outside Argentina, some accounts tend to share content "in pairs": the United States shares messages with Israel (129 messages) and Colombia with Ecuador (67), but both also replicate what Argentina produces.
The analysis also shows that La Derecha Diario's activity peaks coincide with elections in the region. During the period analyzed, Bolivia, Colombia, and Honduras held presidential elections; Argentina, legislative elections; and Ecuador, a constitutional referendum.
In all of them except Argentina, the accounts' activity increased around the elections. The analysis also found a change in tone when right-wing candidates won: there were fewer messages aimed at provoking outrage and fear, and more celebratory, congratulatory, or informational messages.
Eleven editions, one newsroom. Accounts are connected when they publish identical messages. Thicker lines and larger circles indicate more shared content; colors represent countries.
Three companies, two states, eight months
In eight months, Negre created or joined three companies in the United States, registered in Florida and Delaware.
Right News Inc., initially based in Hollywood, was incorporated in Florida on June 25, 2025, with Negre as president. The company's address later changed to Coral Gables in April 2026, and on September 9, 2026, María Astrid Macías Fregoso, with an address in Washington, was listed as president, according to Florida's Sunbiz records. According to the El País investigation, Macías has been Negre's wife since April 2026.
In October 2025, Negre bought a 50% stake in UHN Plus, an outlet created in Miami in 2023 (according to the organization itself and the creation date of its X profile, as we previously reported at Factchequeado). The purchase was followed shortly afterward by the incorporation of a new company, UHN Plus Media Network Inc., on November 10, 2025, UHN Plus Media Network, Inc., with Yannis Estrada as president and Negre and Yulier Suárez Guerrero as vice presidents, at the same Coral Gables, Florida, address as Right News Inc.
On February 12, 2026, Negre incorporated Right News Media Corp in Delaware.
An article by Forbes México published in November 2025 said Negre's media outlets in Latin America were valued at "more than $35 million." The article attributed that estimate to "various financial experts" but did not identify them or detail the financial data used to calculate it.
Landing in Trump's media ecosystem
The launch of The Right News Show in the United States coincides with a Trump administration policy aimed at reasserting U.S. dominance in Latin America and the Caribbean and reducing the influence of outside powers, as described in the White House's National Security Strategy from November 2025.
The document proposes to "reward and encourage" governments, parties, and movements in the region that are broadly aligned with its principles and strategy.
Trump has publicly stated this goal on more than one occasion. When announcing the operation that led to the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026, he declared: "American dominance in the Western Hemisphere will never be questioned again." And in his most recent State of the Union address (2026), he linked that goal to defending national interests against drug trafficking, terrorism, and foreign interference.
On November 20, 2025, Negre took part in a White House press briefing, where Karoline Leavitt, then press secretary, invited him to ask the first question. The next day, Negre announced on YouTube the launch of The Right News Show. The program, which began airing on November 23, was presented as a program for Hispanic audiences that "exposes communism" and "confronts woke narratives."
A few days later, on December 3, Negre was named president of programming for RAV Español, the Spanish-language branch of Real America's Voice. In addition to YouTube and Trump Media, Real America's Voice programming airs on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Pluto TV, Vizio, and Roku, among other platforms.
In the launch video, Negre says he has supported Trump since 2020 and that on his program he plans to "tell the entire Hispanic community and the entire American community that Trump is not a demon and that he is the best president in the history of the United States."
Figures from Trump's political circle interviewed on The Right News Show include Karoline Leavitt, while she was White House press secretary; Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to Trump's 2024 campaign; and Byron Donalds, the Republican candidate for governor of Florida.
One of the first episodes makes the goal of this effort clear. In an interview with Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, broadcast on December 30, 2025, Negre speaks of "a right-wing wave" and says that "Trump is doing exactly what he needs to do in Mexico and South America."
But Negre also says there that "the MAGA movement is not reaching the Hispanic community." His answer is that "we have to create influencers like they did on the American side, with Charlie Kirk, with Benny Johnson."
Negre describes this expansion with expressions such as "new right," "right-wing wave," "Trump's allies," or "culture war." On his August 13, 2026, program, he said he hoped that "the new wave of the new right, with Trump's support, will prevail throughout the Western Hemisphere."
Beyond ideology: What Negre spreads on The Right News Show
Beyond conservative ideology, The Right News Show spreads false and misleading claims about immigration and Trump's political opponents, such as Texas gubernatorial candidate James Talarico and businessman George Soros, according to an analysis by La Silla Vacía and Factchequeado.
Among the falsehoods Negre has spread is the claim that under the Joe Biden administration "more than 13,000 criminal illegal immigrants convicted of murder were not in custody," which we have already debunked at Factchequeado. He has also repeatedly pushed the false claims of fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. In another video, Negre claims, without evidence, that Charlie Kirk was "murdered by the criminal left." Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025. Prosecutors argue that the accused, Tyler James Robinson, was motivated by Kirk's political views, but not that he acted on behalf of "the left" or any political organization.
In addition to identifying this disinformation, our analysis of videos published between January and mid-September 2026* found that Latin America features prominently in the show's coverage, both in Negre's segments and in those of his guests.
Nearly half of the thematic segments in his videos (44.8%) focus on politics and international relations. Migration accounts for 11%, and media and disinformation for 9.7%.
What The Right News Show covers. Number of segments lasting 5 minutes or more devoted to each topic across 264 videos published in 2026. Politics and government, international relations, and migration received the most coverage.
Mexico, Cuba, and Milei: the most frequently repeated narratives
In Mexico, Ricardo Salinas Pliego, owner of TV Azteca, one of the country's main broadcast television networks, publicly asked Negre for help against the Mexican left in a December 2024 post on X: "How about helping us in Mexico against these criminal lefties?"
During a forum organized by the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February 2026, Negre referred to that invitation and said Salinas had called on him to "fight the culture war" against the left and President Claudia Sheinbaum, whom he repeatedly called a "narco-president." In the same speech, he also thanked the White House "for helping bring in outlets like La Derecha Diario and UHN Plus to take on the lefties."
The most frequently repeated narrative on The Right News Show focuses on Mexico, with the unfounded claim that the Morena party (to which Sheinbaum belongs, and which was founded by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador) governs Mexico in collusion with drug traffickers: it appears 27 times across 20 different videos.
It is followed by two narratives favorable to Trump's allies in the region: that pressure from Donald Trump will topple the Cuban regime, and that Argentine President Javier Milei's reforms represent a historic economic transformation.
The Right News Show’s most repeated claims. The analysis identified 977 claims, grouped into 378 categories. This chart shows the 15 most frequently repeated.
Friends and enemies, no gray areas
A sentiment analysis found that the people and organizations discussed on the program are portrayed in entirely positive or entirely negative terms, with no nuance.
Those portrayed negatively include Mexican President Sheinbaum; businessman George Soros; Minnesota's Democratic Gov. Tim Walz; and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Those portrayed positively include Turning Point, the organization founded by Charlie Kirk; conservative activist Jack Posobiec; and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, among others.
Outrage as fuel
Outrage is the dominant emotion on The Right News Show. But the tone shifts depending on the topic: on the economy (when referring to countries governed by the right), hope appears in 76% of the segments analyzed.
Outrage is reflected in headlines that emphasize danger and confrontation, such as "Extreme danger: Democrats coming to power," "Trump and MAGA under attack," or "Islamism's alarming plan to seize power in the U.S." In content associated with hope, the channel presents Trump and Milei as drivers of a "golden age" for their countries, with "opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses."

Five videos account for 43% of views
The reach of Negre's content is also concentrated in a handful of videos. The five most-watched account for 43% of all the channel's views, and all were published in January 2026. The top video, with 58,586 views, has four times as many as the second.
Most of what the channel publishes gets few views: excluding Shorts, 73% of the videos have fewer than 500 views.
The Right News Show’s five most viewed videos. Together, they account for 43% of the channel’s total views in 2026 across the videos analyzed. All five were published in January.
Polymarket, UHN Plus, and La Derecha Diario: the Donald Trump Jr. connection
Another link to Trump's circle runs through UHN Plus, one of Negre's outlets, and its relationship with Polymarket. On social media, UHN Plus describes itself as "powered by Polymarket," a prediction market company. In August 2025, the company announced it had received a strategic investment from the firm 1789 Capital and that Donald Trump Jr., a partner at that firm, was joining its advisory board.
Previously, Factchequeado found that Polymarket had paid for ads on X promoting political narratives favorable to right-wing candidates or politicians (some of those ads featured content from UHN Plus).
For this investigation, Factchequeado reviewed posts on La Derecha Diario's social media accounts and website that referred to Polymarket. We found 208 social media posts: 151 on Instagram and 57 on X. We also identified 12 articles on the website, for a total of 220 pieces. All were published starting in August 2025, the same month 1789 Capital announced its investment in Polymarket.
In the 208 social media posts, we found that Polymarket odds are used as a source of information or "evidence," rather than presented as the results of a prediction market. Prediction markets are platforms where people can bet on the likelihood of a future event, but they cannot be considered a substitute for opinion polls.
In Colombia, for example, La Derecha Diario repeatedly used Polymarket odds to suggest that Abelardo De la Espriella was gaining electoral momentum against Iván Cepeda and other candidates. On X, it posted messages claiming that with De la Espriella “the right is advancing,” that he was “UNSTOPPABLE,” with Polymarket putting his chances of winning the election at 61%, and that his chances had reached an “all-time high” of 68%. After the first round, the account posted Polymarket probabilities of winning ranging from 83% to 90%.
In Argentina, La Derecha Diario has cited Polymarket odds to claim that Javier Milei is "crushing" Axel Kicillof; in Brazil, it claims that Lula da Silva is "plummeting" while Polymarket odds favor Flávio Bolsonaro; and in Chile, it turned to Polymarket to highlight José Antonio Kast's odds against Jeannette Jara.
In Peru, it cites Polymarket as giving Keiko Fujimori a 96% chance of winning the election, accompanied by the message "PERU IS SAVED." And in the United States, a post about California's Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom highlights a drop in his odds of becoming a presidential candidate.
In Negre, the MAGA movement has a digital bridge to Latin America.
Factchequeado contacted Negre to ask about the funding of his outlets, but he had not responded at the time of publication.

Methodology
To identify disinformation narratives on The Right News Show, Factchequeado downloaded transcripts of all available videos using the tool transcript.io. We analyzed them with the help of ChatGPT and subjected the results to human review.
For the analysis of themes and sentiment, Factchequeado worked with La Silla Vacía's Data Unit, which examined videos from January to mid-September 2026, identified thematic segments of five minutes or more, and produced the charts.
This investigation is part of "La Derecha Diario: Its Network in Latin America and Its Connections to MAGA," a collaborative series by Chequeado, Factchequeado, and La Silla Vacía. The series is part of "Los Desinformantes," an initiative of LatamChequea, the Latin American fact-checkers network.
