Factchequeado is partnering with Climate Power in a 12-month collaboration to strengthen access to reliable environmental information for Spanish-speaking audiences in the United States and Puerto Rico. With a total budget of USD 83,100, the initiative focuses on filling environmental and climate information gaps in Spanish and combating disinformation through multimedia journalism and community engagement.
The partnership will produce:
- Two explainers or fact-checks per month on key climate and environmental issues, published on Factchequeado’s website and distributed to its network of +120 media allies in 24 U.S. states and Puerto Rico.
- Audiovisual content (videos, infographics, and animations) for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp to engage diverse Latino audiences.
- Two-minute radio segments for broadcast through partner stations.
- Live social media interviews featuring Climate Power and Factchequeado experts discussing emerging climate topics.
- A Spanish-language podcast with episodes exploring climate myths, facts, and real-world impacts on Latino families and communities. Stay tuned in 2026!
Through this collaboration, Climate Power and Factchequeado will expand the reach of factual, science-based environmental information and empower Latino communities to participate in climate conversations with accurate data and tools.
